Hack Thomas

Thomas is the perfect t-shirt for men! But what if I told you it could be the perfect t-shirt for women too! In the article below, I'll explain a modification to make to get a straight and shorter t-shirt for us!

1. The side lines

The Thomas t-shirt has been fitted for a more fitted effect for these gentlemen. To create your hack, I suggest you take this side line and make it straight.

First, you'll choose your size. For my hack, I made the Thomas T-shirt in a size S. On the pattern, you'll measure the length from the center front to below the armhole in a straight line.

You will transfer this measurement to the bottom of the garment so that you can draw a parallel line down the center front. This line will be the new side line.

Do the same thing on your back.

2. Length

Now you're going to define the length of your t-shirt! It's up to you to play and have fun. Thomas can be made in maxi length to switch to a dress, or conversely in a cropped version! In short, you get the idea, have fun defining the length you want. For the hack, we're going to make a short version.

You will draw the new bottom line of the garment at the desired length. Alongside this, you will draw a line at 2cm in order to be able to hem the bottom of the garment.

Do the same thing on your back!

Your hacked boss is ready! Now all you have to do is get started!
